Ethiopian New Year Celebration (2021) ?? Our Sons' Beautiful Birth Culture 
This weekend our family celebrated our sons’ birth culture and heritage as Ethiopia celebrated Ethiopian New Year! We researched more than ever So we could really make it special and it was so much fun! We love the beauty of the diversity in our family and all the ways we get the privilege of appreciating and observing their incredible birth cultures. And of course, Jude and Liam particularly loved feasting on Ethiopian food!

I’m so proud of y’all for embracing and incorporating each of your kids cultures into the whole family’s life and normalizing it, I’m so used to seeing adoptive families suppress their POC kids identities and cultures, it brings me as a queer poc so much joy same goes for my partner and y’all make me positively ready to adopt with my partner when the time comes! The universe has blessed y’all with wonderful hearts and capabilities and y’all’s children are the most lively, happy kids i have ever witnessed, i wish i had that as a child but y’all inspire me to spread the joy y’all share <3
