Hi Fung Bros, 1st time commenting. I just wanted to emphasize that your thumbnail uses the wrong map since Eritrea is mixed with Ethiopia when we've been free for decades 1991-. We were forced by America to join Ethiopia as a province against our will, and we spent decades fighting dearly for our independence.

I am Somali 's and Somali food is the BEST
When I saw Somali food, I knew the Italians had been an influencer in their culture. And because I love Italian food the most, definitely Somali. Than Kenya, although I will get tired of stews base meals eventually. Ethiopians food with all it complex ingredients probably won't go well with me. Especially since I prefer to eat with utensils not my hands.
The culture of Somalia is totally different from African countries because its influenced with Arabs, Asia and EU.

I have been eating Somali and Ethiopian food..hands down Ethiopian veggie combo and Somali Wasala combo? but got to try Kenyan someday..
Fun fact : I am Ethiopian who is familiar with Nigerian Jollof Rice and Salad combo but have not tasted East African meal from Kenya..crazy lol !!!

How is Injera somali food?? injera is ethiopian food so we can’t really say it’s somali food just because it’s adopted recently, that’s cultural appropriation. The somalis in the comment section, you know damn well your forefathers even 50 years ago didn’t know what injera is so why claim it’s somali food?

You all did a good job sampling the different foods. Ethiopian food is one of the kind, very different in taste palate. Kenyan food is also good, but hard to find a restaurant.
